VOLVO 9300 series further boosted the chassis structure, strength and carrying capacity, thus making the complete bus more economic. The economic VOLVO dynamical and environment-protective 310hp/1350Nm electrical-controlled fuel injection engine has passed the Euro III certification. The 390L fuel tank guaranteed the driving with a longer distance. ABS, ASR, exhaust brake and spring brake for brake system. The advanced hydraulic pressure retarder enormously boosted the brake capacity. Twin circuit brake system in both front and rear is giving control as well. Front and rear tyres are controlled by the high-efficiency disk brakes. VOLVO mature air suspension system greatly reduced the vibration when the coach is running on the uneven road, bringing our passengers the top comfort and safety. This type of chassis has VOLVO-unique steering damper system helps to give driver a full control in an accident.
VOLVO 9300 series introduced in the global advanced BEA（Bus Electrical Architecture）. The bus controller LAN composed by 3 main data wires ensured that the system gave an accurate control over all the functional components. The instruments of 9300 using digital data transmission are more accurate and precise than other instruments using analogue transmission and analogue drive. And all instruments have the error diagnosis ability and recover ability.
Another advanced feature of VOLVO 9300 is the LED display system for driver information system on the left side of the dash board, which offer drivers and maintainers the detailed information on bus conditions by some certain easy-recognized figures and numbers, gives warning to drivers ahead of any accidents and dangers, judge any malfunctions and keep them until they are solved by maintainers.
Many new technologies are borrowed from Sweden VBC, together with some proposals from our customers: a striking front facelift; redesign of the front windscreen—5cm profile in the middle of its two pieces of glass, giving no obstruction to driver and compared with traditional style, reducing total area of glass as well as the risk of being broken; full-curve process to the 1st glass further softens the design of complete bus, and guarantees strength of body as well as streamline. Dark process to side windows avoids heat collecting and using AC, and then reduces fuel consumption. Special rear view mirror, another outstanding feature, interjects with the entire streamline. Automatic side window with electronic heating function and new style dashboard provide drivers with an easy and comfortable working environment. Besides some suggestions from customers about rear features are adopted as well. We lift up the air inlet to make sure no dust comes in. A removable rear bumper is mounted on the same standard height as trucks can prevent rear gear wheel from being damaged in accidents. LBD lights with faster reaction and longer life are used as rear lights, lengthening the warning time to vehicles behind and those light components are enchased in the bus skin, protecting this new structure against being damaged in accidents. Brake lights on the top are mounted inside, lengthening the life span.
